PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk or BRI Bank is the largest and state-owned bank in Indonesia. Established since 1895 until now Bank BRI has an important role in moving the wheels of the national economy. As a State-Owned Enterprise (SOE), Bank BRI has participated in implementing the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Program, particularly through the implementation of the Community Development Program known as BRI Peduli.

BRI Peduli has a concept to help improve environmental conditions (Pro Planet), Society (Pro People) and economy (Pro Profit). Bank BRI has a strong commitment in running BRI Cares by carrying out the theme "Proud of Being Indonesian" as the tagline of CSR and Community Development programs. Bank BRI is committed to making BRI Cares an activity that has a positive impact on society. BRI Cares is divided into 7 (seven) aid sectors, namely aid for victims of natural disasters, education assistance, can be in the form of training, educational infrastructure and facilities, health improvement assistance, assistance in developing infrastructure and / or public facilities, religious facilities assistance, natural preservation assistance and assistance social community in the context of poverty alleviation. In its implementation, each sector is communicated with the name of the program namely:

  1. The aid sector for victims of natural disasters, communicated under the name INDONESIA CARE
  2. Educational assistance sector, can be in the form of training, infrastructure and educational facilities, which are communicated under the name INDONESIA INTELLIGENT
  3. Health improvement sector, which is communicated under the name INDONESIA HEALTH
  4. Public infrastructure and / or infrastructure development sector, which is communicated under the name INDONESIA DEVELOP
  5. The religious facilities sector, which is communicated under the name INDONESIA TAKWA
  6. The nature conservation sector, which is communicated under the name INDONESIA LESTARI
  7. Social assistance in the context of poverty alleviation, which is communicated under the name INDONESIA PROSPEROUS
Of the various commitments that have been carried out by Bank BRI in the areas of CSR and Community Development, Bank BRI continues to improve the quality of CSR and Community Development Programs by building a program management system, both planning, implementing, monitoring and evaluating, including measuring the impact of the program and compliance with applicable regulations .

BRI Peduli has now become a pioneer and is the best bank in the implementation of CSR and Community Development Programs for 2 years in a row namely 2018 and 2019 as Best Bank for CSR in Indonesia in the Asiamoney Best Bank Award.

Transparent

This principle requires that every social responsibility program be managed openly, which allows all stakeholders to know and understand and have the opportunity to participate in managing corporate social responsibility programs.

Accountable

The principle of accountability requires that each party involved in managing social responsibility programs carry out their duties and authorities effectively, so that they can be accounted for from time to time, both internal and external stakeholders.

Responsible

This principle requires that the manager of the social responsibility program be responsible for his decisions. The responsibility must extend to each person in the organization managing the program or other parties related to managing the company's social responsibility program.

Inclusive

This principle regulates the importance so that the entire social responsibility program carried out by the company can reach out and involve stakeholders, so that stakeholders are not only the object of the program but also the subjects or actors of the social responsibility program itself. Inclusive also means that the social responsibility program that is carried out is certain to target vulnerable groups and community groups directly affected by the company's operations.
