Starting the environmental preservation activities in 2018, Bank BRI held a tree planting action in the Forest Park (Tahura) Ir Juanda, Bandung. The tree planting action that was held in the middle of March 2018 was also attended by colleagues from the press or mass media and their families.
The number planted this time is 123 trees of pine tree species. While the number 123 is a representation of the age of BRI's service to the people of Indonesia, which this year is even 123 years old.
As is known, Ir Juanda Tahura Location, which is the place for tree planting actions, is an integrated conservation area between secondary nature and plantations located in the city of Bandung with an area of 590 hectares. This park is also the first Forest Forest Park in Indonesia.
Related to pine plants, from experience, this plant is a type of fast growing plant and does not require special requirements so that it is easy to be cultivated even in dry places. Apart from that aside from land conservation, this plant is also economically beneficial. At the same time, BRI also provides educational assistance to Early Childhood Education (PAUD) Nurus Syifa, Bandung city in the form of renovating classrooms worth Rp. 149 million.
For information, the Tree Planting Action in Tahura Ir Juanda and the provision of educational assistance to PAUD Nurus Syifa are part of the implementation of corporate social responsibility (CSR), which is then manifested in the form of a program communicated under the name of the BRI Peduli program with the Proud tagline BERINDONESIA.
In the implementation of the BRI Cares program, the company always coordinates with various parties (both internal and external) so that distribution can be right on target and effective. It is hoped that the assistance provided by BRI through the BRI Cares program can provide great benefits for all levels of society.
