Jakarta - In line with the momentum of National Health Day 2025, celebrated every November 12th, BRI, through its Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) program, BRI Peduli, continues to strengthen its commitment to supporting equitable distribution of health infrastructure. One concrete manifestation of this commitment is the distribution of ambulances to various health facilities across Indonesia.
Over the past three years, BRI Peduli has distributed 637 ambulances to various healthcare facilities, such as community health centers, clinics, and regional hospitals throughout Indonesia. Specifically, by 2025, the number of ambulances distributed by BRI Peduli is expected to reach 200.
BRI Corporate Secretary Dhanny revealed that the distribution of BRI Peduli ambulance assistance not only expands the reach of health services, but also ensures that people in various regions—especially in remote areas—can obtain access to emergency assistance quickly and on time.
"Ambulances play a crucial role in the healthcare system. These vehicles are the first line of action for medical personnel to provide emergency care to patients before they arrive at the hospital. Therefore, the distribution of ambulances by BRI Peduli is not only a physical facility, but also a tangible manifestation of humanitarian concern and support for the performance of medical personnel who are at the forefront of emergency patient care," he said.
This aid distribution also demonstrates BRI's commitment to strengthening the resilience of the national healthcare system. Going forward, BRI will continue to play a strategic role in building inclusive access to healthcare services and improving the quality of life for the Indonesian people.
Dhanny also emphasized that the distribution of aid from BRI Peduli is in line with the company's commitment to supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) point 3, namely Good Health and Well-being , as well as supporting the Government's Asta Cita in realizing a healthy, intelligent, and empowered nation.
On a separate occasion, the Director of Aisyiyah Muntilan Hospital, Central Java, Dr. Dwi Ambarwati, MARS, as a beneficiary of ambulance assistance from BRI Peduli, added that the presence of ambulances from BRI Peduli has helped health workers to immediately carry out first aid measures and increase the chances of patient survival in critical situations.
Furthermore, the ambulance also supports the medical staff at Aisyiyah Muntilan Hospital, who have been at the forefront of emergency patient care. "Thank you for the assistance from BRI Peduli to Aisyiyah Muntilan Hospital. This assistance has significantly helped us expand our service facilities, both for internal and external referrals at Aisyiyah Muntilan Hospital. This also serves as an example of real collaboration in efforts to achieve equitable health care and improve healthcare services for the community," he added.
Ambulances distributed by BRI Peduli are equipped with standard emergency medical equipment tailored to field needs. These facilities enable healthcare workers to perform immediate first aid and increase the chances of patient survival in critical situations.
