External Audit Function

In carrying out the oversight function of BRI's operational and business activities, in addition to internal audits, BRI's supervisory functions are also carried out by external audit functions in this case Bank Indonesia, Financial Services Authority, Supreme Audit Board and Public Accounting Firm.

Appointment of External Auditor

In accordance with the result of the RUPST of BRI on March 17, 2017 at the Eye of the Fourth Meeting of the Meeting, the Public Accounting Firm Purwanto, Sungkoro & Surja as the Public Accounting Firm auditing the Company's Financial Report and Financial Report of the Partnership and Community Development Program for the Fiscal Year 2017.

Findings and Follow-Up Recommendations of External Auditor

Audit results have been submitted by Purwantono, Sungkoro and Surja KAP signed by Auditor Drs. Hari Purwantono / Danil Setiadi Handaja, CPA in Independent Auditor's Report No.RPC-250 / PSS / 2016 in the paragraph "Opinion" with explanation:

"In our opinion, the accompanying consolidated financial statements present fairly, in all material respects, the financial position of the concessions of PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Tbk and its subsidiaries as of December 31, 2017, as well as the financial performance and cash flows of its consolidation for the year which ends on that date, in accordance with Indonesian Financial Accounting Standards"

The effectiveness of the External Audit and Compliance of the Bank on the provisions of the relationship between Banks, Public Accountants and Bank Indonesia

The appointed Public Accounting Firm will audit and provide opinion on the financial statements of BRI and its subsidiaries, and evaluate the performance of BRI in accordance with Indonesian Financial Accounting Standards, Bank Indonesia Regulation, Financial Services Authority, Directorate General of Taxes and regulations and other practices which is relevant. In practice, the company always communicates with Public Accounting Firm, Audit Committee and Corporate Management.

The basis for the implementation of financial transparency in 2017 based on the provisions of Bank Indonesia and the Financial Services Authority as follows:

  1. PBank Indonesia Regulation no. 3/22 / PBI / 2001 dated 13 December 2001 Article 18 point (4) concerning Transparency of Bank Financial Condition as amended partially by OJK Rule No.6 / POJK.03 / 2015 valid from April 1, 2015 on Transparency and Publication of Bank Report.
  2. Bank Indonesia Circular Letter no. 14/35 / DPNP dated December 10, 2012 concerning the Annual Report of Commercial Banks and Certain Annual Reports submitted to Bank Indonesia point II.2.a.
  3. Circular Letter of the Financial Services Authority No. 11 / SEOJK.03 / 2015 dated April 17, 2015 concerning Transparency and Publication of Conventional Commercial Bank Report.

The scope of work of the Public Accounting Firm includes:

  1. General audits of BRI's financial statements and year-end consolidated position on January 31, 2017.
  2. General audits of BRI's 2017 BRI financial statements.
  3. Audit of performance, compliance with laws and internal controls.
  4. Audit of the performance management performance evaluation report.
